Community engagement framework

A Colorful Communities project in Saint-Just-en-Chaussée, France

PPG has a presence in 70 countries and many more communities. In each of those communities, we’re more than an employer. We’re neighbors. We’re invested in the success of our local communities, and we reach out to residents, governmental agencies and charitable organizations to help build strong, vibrant towns.

Our Community Engagement Framework helps to guide our outreach. This framework was developed in collaboration with PPG’s Sustainability Committee to outline recommended community engagement actions that facilities and sites are expected to implement. It represents one of the many ways we aim to embed sustainability to our operations.

Sites are assigned to one of four program levels based on their size, type of operations and potential impacts on their communities. Each site aims to implement the community engagement activities that align with its corresponding level. Many go above and beyond these expectations.
