Global Community Engagement

PPG’s global community engagement activities are overseen by the PPG Foundation Board and the Global Giving Committee, both composed of chairman and chief executive officer Michael H. McGarry and leaders from PPG's legal, human resources and finance functions.

The global community engagement strategy is led by the executive director of the PPG Foundation and corporate global social responsibility.

PPG Foundation

The PPG Foundation is a separately incorporated 501(c)(3) private foundation, entirely funded by the company. The Foundation’s board of directors meets regularly to oversee Foundation activities and its financials are audited independently each year.

A team of U.S.-based PPG Foundation agents provides local grantmaking through the PPG Foundation in places where PPG has a presence. Working directly with non-profit partners in their communities and business areas, the PPG Foundation agents establish and build opportunities for local giving. Global Giving

Global giving outside of the U.S. is directed by PPG leaders – across the  Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), Latin America and Asia Pacific regions – who function as regional contribution committee chairs. Each region is supported by local, in-country staff for execution of activities. This funding is provided by PPG.

PPG Comex in Mexico also has its own charitable foundation, wholly funded by PPG.
